Hello. We have been discussing some very important issues about America in our listening and speaking classe. For example, we have discussed cultural-choke with Patty and her own experince I mean her visiting serveral countries really puts and makes me see what she was taliking about I really got kick out of her lecture. This is because it makes me more confident and more ready to make come after.
It was aslo awasome Daive speech about gender roles nad sexual harrassment. His lecture inspires me a lot and makes me understand things that are very important for me to understand as a student coming to the United States to study.
These lectures and others that we have done in the class just makes me ready for the next step which is graduate study. I am sure that these lectures will help me more when I get involved in my graduate school. For instance, they help me so they way have to deal with people regardless of theri differences and they will be able to know how can I approach them.
I hope that more and more lectures about others things that I may encounter will be discussed in the near future. I have sepcial thanks for my lovely and wonderful teacher Maggie.

Surprises
We arrive in a place with a mix of hopes, fears, and expectations. What has surprised you most about the U.S. since you arrived?

It is just amazing that I am studying and having fun at the same time. The thing is back to my country I can say so to speak that these two things do not go together. I really like the way the teachers deal with us we can have fun with them however respect is always there. I just find myself voicing out my voice without any fear. Of course, before I cam here I have many things in mind among which is the classes that I am going to take at St.Michael. When I got to my first class I was just so much relaxing because the teacher was so nice and ready to help. My main cencern now is my graduate studies. I know one thing which is if the teachers are going to be so nice as the once at St.Michael I am quite sure that I will ace my graduate studies and excel in them too. I am also cencern now is my now housing to where I am going after I finish my classes at here.
